Wheelchair/Powerchair measuring Guide
Seat Width: Diagram # To determine the proper seat width, measure the width of your body from hip to hip (outside hip) while seating down. Please be sure to add an extra inch or so to allow for bulky clothes if relevant.
Seat Depth: Diagram # To determine the appropriate depth measure from the most posterior point of the body to the inside of your knee. Please be sure to remove at least 2 inches. This helps to allow for a more relaxed posture and also some individuals may prefer additional leg overhang to make room for their hand when lifting their leg.
Seat Back Height: Diagram # This is measured from the seat base to the top of the chair back. Often users of power chairs need upper back support. Our standard medium back support works fine.
Front seat to FloorMeasure the leg from the back of the knee to the sole of the foot. Then subtract the thickness of the cushion when it is compressed. Next, add a minimum of two inches for footrest clearance. Do not add the footrest clearance if the chair will be foot-propelled
